I’m Elliot Pound and I am delighted to be a member of the Mill Street Dental Practice Team.
I was born and raised in Kingsbridge, and after graduating from Kingsbridge Community College, I studied to become a dentist at Peninsula Dental School at the University of Plymouth.
After qualifying, I worked in Bristol as a dentist in practice, before moving to work at Bristol Dental Hospital. There I worked under the guidance of Consultants in Restorative & Paediatric Dentistry, treating patients who had been referred to the hospital by their own dentist.
Recently, I have completed qualification for Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery (MFDS) at the Royal College of Surgeons and I plan to continue with further studies to further enhance my skills.
I am excited to be back in Kingsbridge and providing care for the local community. I’m always looking to provide the best care for my patients and believe communication is key to a patient-dentist relationship, ensuring that patients feel at ease in the dental chair as well as enabling me to understand their concerns and dental needs. From experience, some patients are nervous, and I’m always happy to give further reassurance, so they can be more comfortable during examinations and treatment.
Outside of dentistry I enjoy being outdoors, particularly on long walks in the countryside and I plan to make the most of being back in Kingsbridge and the heart of Devon.
